TRENTON FORTITUDE CORPORATION

Impacting the Community for a Better Tomorrow...
A 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, for charitable purposes.
Our History
Founded in 2004, Trenton Fortitude Corporation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has served as a cornerstone of the Trenton community for over 20 years. Our mission is to foster academic excellence, community development, and economic mobility for the youth of Mercer County. We were established with the belief that financial barriers should never be the deciding factor in a student's ability to pursue higher education.
For two decades, our primary focus has been the 'bridge period' between high school graduation and college enrollment. We specialize in providing merit scholarships and textbook grants that cover the critical 'hidden costs' of education—such as course materials and technology—which are often excluded from traditional financial aid packages. By addressing these immediate financial gaps, we have helped hundreds of Trenton students persist through their first year of post-secondary education.
A hallmark of Trenton Fortitude is our commitment to radical transparency and efficiency. According to our most recent IRS Form 990 filings, we maintain a program efficiency ratio of 89%, ensuring that nearly every dollar raised goes directly into the hands of the students we serve. We operate as a volunteer-led organization, leveraging deep community roots and strategic partnerships with local entities like the Boys & Girls Clubs of Mercer County to maximize our reach. As we look toward our third decade, we remain dedicated to empowering Trenton’s next generation of leaders through direct, impactful, and sustainable financial support.
